Jessyca: In principle, the type of drive is not decisive for the procurement process, which always follows a proven process. Much more important are the wishes of the customers for whom we purchase the vehicles. These include, for example, the range of the vehicles, size and much more. Thanks to our partner network, we are very broadly positioned in this respect and can find the right vehicle for all needs – regardless of the brand and drive type.

We have a fixed process and a broad partner network of suppliers with whom we work closely and have already been able to build trust. The procurement process is complex and requires precise planning. Procurements are also very individual and always offer different points that need to be considered (such as vehicle availability and delivery times). If there are no fixed brand specifications, we always carry out a needs analysis first in order to determine exactly the right vehicle. Each brand offers different designs that need to be considered.
For example, we procured Teslas for an Urban Connect customer. I had worked with the brand representative before and already knew the conditions and responsible persons. That simplified the process in each case. The Teslas were then delivered to us in Volketswil and finally prepared by Urban Connect. The technology for car sharing was uploaded and so on. That was also very exciting for me and a wonderful collaboration.
In the SME sector, you see a trend towards simplified management for fleet vehicles. Above all, the resulting flexibility and a wide selection of vehicles of different brands and drive types are highly valued. Therefore, such concepts, where the effort can be handed over to specialists, certainly have great potential. Not only in such innovative sharing concepts as those offered by Urban Connect, but also in external fleet management. Particular importance is attached to simple and transparent processes that customers can follow at any time. In the corporate sector, we also see primarily a great interest in planning reliability, cost transparency, and cost reduction. The focus on these attributes is often missing in existing market solutions. We are fortunate to be able to use the many years of expertise and conditions of AXA Mobility Services AG with its UPTO brand for precisely this purpose.
